Bulacan cops arrest man involved in church robbery incident


Police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 20, the arrest of one of the three suspects in a robbery incident in a Christian church in the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM), Bulacan on Sunday, Sept. 18.

Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police officer-in-charge, said the suspect, Samuel Lorenzana, was arrested by police in his house in Barangay Fatima 3, CSJDM.

Police said that a pastor from the Cross Over Christian Ministry Church located in Brgy. Sto. Cristo, CSJDM positively identified the suspect as one of the persons who took a laptop worth P 20,000; a cellphone worth P10,000, and one drawing tablet worth P8,000 on Sunday.

The operating team recovered the stolen items and one improvised gun from the suspect.

Police said Lorenzana and his cohorts were also tagged in the robbery at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Barangay. Mulawin, CSJDM, wherein they were able to take one video camera unit worth P20,000; one unit of projector worth P15,000; and eight pieces of medallion with gem worth P8,000.

Bulacan cops are conducting manhunt operations to identify and locate the two other suspects.
