Bishop Pabillo said everyone should learn to value, nurture and share every blessing that is given by God for the common good.

“Let us be good stewards of God’s blessings and as good and responsible stewards, these gifts must be beneficial to many and not just for ourselves or for a few,” the Church leader said over Radio Veritas.

The country, Bishop Pabillo said, has been gifted with plenty of natural and material resources but only a few benefit from it because of corruption and greed. “Eighty percent of Filipinos suffer from poverty and hunger because of injustice and corruption. Many are poor because they are deprived of opportunities to better themselves. They are taken advantage of. They are victims of injustice,” the prelate said.

Bishop Pabillo reminded the faithful to take time to connect with God to deepen their relationship with Him. He likewise urged the faithful to be more compassionate towards the poor and the needy.
