Gabo Adeva to undergo eye removal surgery after stage 2 eye cancer diagnosis

Online content creator and actor Gabo Adeva surprised his fans with the announcement that he was diagnosed with stage 2 eye cancer recently.

Soon, he'll be undergoing eye removal surgery (enucleation surgery).

In his TikTok video, the 20-year-old star revealed that his doctor told him he only has six to one year to live if the 13mm tumor on his right eye will not be removed as the cancer cells will spread throughout his body.

So Gabo immediately agreed without hesitation as the tumor is more than half of his eye, which is only 22mm.

He revealed that his eyeball will be removed and replaced with an artificial eye.

"It's sad, but I have to live with it kasi ito na, andito na yung cancer," he said at the end of the video.

On Instagram, Gabo also shared his story.

He wrote: "Life is a roller coaster ride indeed. Help me pray for my fast healing process and no more cancer cells para mabuhay pa ng matagal akesivolity. Thank you to those people who believed in me, sa passion ko sa craft ko sa pagarte and etc. I won't stop dreaming just because I'm diagnosed with something deadly."

"Hangga't humihinga focus tayo sa goal. Kung umabot mas maganda, kung hindi edi mamahinga," he added. "Gabo's still kicking, cÃao."

For the past years, Gabo was able to appear on different shows and movies including "Mano po Legacy," "Momshies! Ang Soul Mo'y Akin," and "Home Sweetie Home Walang Kapares."

Gabo hobnobbed with celebrities Julia Barretto, Maymay Entrata, Pia Wurtzbach, Ogie Diaz, Teejay Marquez, and Andrea Brillantes, among others.
