Parañaque Police Station receives heart-warming letter from German visitor
A woman based in Germany sent a heart-warming letter to the Parañaque Police Station, thanking Patrolman Francis Mendoza for the help he extended to her last month.
In her letter, Lyn Neubauer narrated that she approached a policeman on duty at the Baclaran shopping area on Aug. 16 and asked him for directions in going to Lourdes Street in Pasay City where she was temporarily staying.
Neubauer had told Mendoza that she had to walk back home because she left her wallet.
She said Mendoza, who is assigned to Baclaran Police Sub-Station, gave her money for a jeepney ride to Pasay City. She in turn promised the policeman to pay him back.
The woman returned to the place where Mendoza was assigned to pay him, but the cop refused to get the money.
Neubauer stated in her letter that she will remember and treasure the memories of the service she received from Mendoza.
She said the last time she visited the country was in 2017.
Neubauer wishes that Baclaran remains a quiet and peaceful place served by compassionate and dedicated police officers.
