3 gov't employees nabbed in Lanao del Norte drug sting

Government anti-narcotics operatives arrested three government employees on Friday, Sept. 16, during a raid on a suspected drug den in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the operation was based on the tip about the existence of a drug den in Purok 5, Barangay Upper Hinaplanon.

Nabbed were Allan Balasabas Bagaipo, drug den maintainer; Joneldan Taganas Salvo and Renato Alivio Osmeña. They yielded some 12 grams of shabu.

Authorities noted that the three drug suspects were government personnel but did not reveal the offices they are connected with.

Bagaipo, Salvo and Osmeña face charges for violations of Article II of the Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
