Sixty-five government agencies are set to receive awards and recognition from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) in line with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s 65th birthday on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
These are the agencies that "have been religiously and accurately paying GSIS premiums and loan payments on time and complying with the other requirements of GSIS," said the state-run pension fund in a statement.
As per the law, all government offices are required to remit the contributions and monthly loan amortizations of their employees to GSIS within the first 10 days of each calendar month.
"We all know that loan balances, if left unpaid, would balloon to unmanageable amounts. This will diminish members’ benefits and leave them with little or no proceeds at all when they retire or separate from the service," GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso said.
Veloso added that they also deserve recognition for their utmost assistance in helping their employees avail GSIS loan programs, the initiative of enrolling their employees early in GSIS' eCard, and for having their company properties insured by GSIS.
Here are the 65 government agencies across the country that will receive recognition as per GSIS.
