11,000 Zamboanga City folk avail of free booster shots in 2 night markets


ZAMBOANGA CITY – More than 11,000 residents here have availed of free booster vaccines against Covid-19 in two night markets organized by the city government from Aug. 15 to Sept. 12.

They obtained booster shots from the night market on Rizal St. and the newly opened market on Baban St.

Residents have flocked to these two markets only for their booster doses but also to enjoy shopping from more than 100 stalls offering food, toys, and other items.

Persons who availed of booster doses also received five kilos of rice for free as an additional incentive.

Mayor John Dalipe here has offered booster doses in this city’s night markets to increase the number of persons getting their booster shots in line with the government’s “PinasLakas” campaign.

Aside from the night markets, booster doses are also offered in commercial malls, health centers, and lying-in clinics across this city.

Dalipe is calling on residents to avail of the free booster doses as an added wall of protection against Covid-19.
