Netizens in Rizal Province join local government officials in greeting PBBM on his 65th birthday


Birthday greetings for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., posted on the social media pages of some local government units in Rizal Province, earned likes and hearts as the day went by.

As of 2 p.m. on Sept. 13, the birthday greetings of Binangonan Mayor Cesar Ynares and the Sangguniang Bayan for the President generated 163 likes and hearts and 16 shares.

Ynares personally greeted the President on his 65th birthday when he led government officials in the kickoff ceremony of the nationwide bamboo tree-planting event in San Mateo, Rizal early Tuesday morning.

Mayor Ynares was joined by the town environment officer and municipal government personnel in the event initiated by President Marcos, Jr.

The official Facebook page of the Antipolo City Government also posted the city government’s birthday wishes for President Marcos, which generated more than 1,000 likes and hearts, 46 shares, and 466 comments.

“May God continue to bless you for all of your efforts in leading our great country towards better days,” said the city government on its Facebook.

On Angono Public Information Office’s Facebook page, the birthday greetings of Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon, Vice Mayor Gerardo Calderon, and the Sangguniang Bayan elicited 537 hearts and likes, 95 comments, and 25 shares.

Mayor Calderon led the municipal employees and fellow local officials in planting bamboo saplings locally known as “kawayang tinik” at Pintong Bukawe, the site of the former sanitary landfill in San Mateo, Rizal.

Rizal Gov. Nina Ynares and her father, former Gov. Casimiro “Ito” Ynares Jr., led the Rizal government officials in welcoming the President and personally greeting him as soon as he stepped out of his vehicle.

President Marcos Jr., before starting his speech for the ceremony, recognized former Gov. Ynares and addressed him as “Gov Ito”.

Marcos thanked the local leaders and government workers who were present during the event for joining him in the pro-environment initiative.
