Vice President Sara Duterte has two wishes for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on his birthday: Good health and happiness.
The Chief Executive turned 65 on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
“I wish God’s favor upon you as you celebrate your birthday and pray that you are given the strength and wisdom for the difficult road ahead,” Duterte wrote on Facebook.
She wished nothing but “good health and happiness” for Marcos, her presidential running mate in the May 2022 elections.
Duterte’s office released two photos showing the Vice President having a selfie with Marcos and standing in front of the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing (PAW) helicopter.
“I told PBB, we need a selfie because the socmed team needs an obligatory birthday selfie, hence the smileys,” she said.
The Vice President then expressed gratitude to Marcos for lending her a chopper so she can fly home in time for her children’s bedtime.
“Thank you, PBB, and your 250th PAW for ensuring that wherever I may be found in the country during the day, I am home in time to tuck my children to bed,” she said.
The 250th PAW, known as the Bluebirds, is one of the units of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) attached and assigned with the Presidential Security Group (PSG).
“Thank you for putting a premium on the desire of a working mother to be present in her children’s lives,” Duterte added.
On his birthday, Marcos is scheduled to attend the National Simultaneous Bamboo and Tree Planting Kick-Off Ceremony at San Mateo, Rizal and the signing of the executive order for a Moratorium on the Annual Amortization of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries in the morning.
In the afternoon, he will attend a gift-giving activity at the White Cross Orphanage in San Juan City.
