Parañaque LGU holds one-stop-shop medical caravan

The city government of Parañaque is conducting a one-stop-shop medical caravan to reach residents in all its 16 barangays and give them better health services.

Mayor Eric Olivarez announced on Monday, Sept. 12, the medical caravan already reached three communities in the city -- Barangays Don Bosco, San Isidro, and San Dionisio,

Olivarez said the medical caravan offers free medical consultation, dental services, eye care, HIV testing, laboratory tests, acetic acid wash (to increase the detection of cervical disease), chest X-ray, and immunization to children against Covid-19.

He said the medical caravan also offers nutrition program lectures, veterinary services for dogs and cats, free legal services, and other health related services.

The mayor added that a hair cut is only one of the services being offered at the medical caravan as well as free slippers, medicines, and vitamins.

Olivarez, a registered nurse, is also joining doctors and nurses in taking the blood pressure of patients, especially the senior citizens.

He said the city government will be conducting a medical caravan once every two weeks.
