The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the 562-meter farm-to-market road that connects the mountainous barangaysof Liloan town to the economic center of Cebu province.
DPWH Regional Office 7 Director Ernesto S. Gregorio Jr. said they have already turned over the project to the local government of Liloan town. The project was implemented by the DPWH Cebu 5th District Engineering Office.

Gregorio said the project amounting to P10 million is a cooperative convergence of the DPWH and the Department of Agriculture (DA) that benefitted farmers and locals of Barangay Tabla.
The 562-meter-long concrete road also ensures a safe and efficient journey for locals and travelers traversing the Barangays of Tabla, Mulao, San Roque, and other mountainous barangays in Liloan.
As a result, the completed road access now eases the transport of agricultural products to the market center, which may double the income of farmers, according to the DPWH.
“The FMR project has brought about an increase in mobility in transporting the basic needs of the municipality and a boost to the economic growth of farmers as they now traverse safely through paved roads,” said Gregorio.
