2GO launches largest crossdock facility
2GO, the Philippines’ largest integrated transportation and logistics provider, has launched its Asinan Crossdock Facility – its largest to date at the SM Warehouse complex along C-5 Extension, La Huerta, Paranaque City, the company announced Monday, September 12.
The 2GO Asinan cross-dock, where goods are unloaded from inbound delivery vehicles and loaded directly onto outbound vehicles, covers 11,000 square meters and can accommodate 2,500 pallets.
The facility can accommodate high volumes of FMCG shipments to Mega Manila, North Luzon, and South Luzon customers.
“The location of our Asinan Crossdock facility shows the synergy and the support that the SM group is giving to 2GO," says Chairman, President, and CEO Frederic C. DyBuncio.
"The group believes that logistics is a very important sector in the growth of the Philippine economy. And that’s why we decided to invest even more in the logistics space,” he added.
“Location is key to achieving supply chain efficiency, and Asinan provides us with the site’s proximity to the Skyway, SLEX, and Cavitex," 2GO Logistics and Distribution business unit head Anna Vicencio reiterated.
'Given this, we thought it best to integrate our operations for Mega Manila and South Luzon all in one place,” she noted.
“With the opening of this new facility, we will be able to move goods – both food and non-food – faster and more efficiently, providing better quality of service to our customers,” Vicencio elaborated.
