For the first time since taking office, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will grant a one-on-one television interview to none other than one of his biggest supporters: Toni Gonzaga.
This was revealed in a teaser posted by Gonzaga on her YouTube channel and Instagram account on Saturday, September 10.
In the teaser, Gonzaga was seen in white walking inside Malacañang and waiting for the President to arrive. Upon his arrival, she and Marcos walked together to a platform where the interview would take place.
This is Marcos' first one-on-one interview since he became President. He has yet to grant interviews to other media organizations, including the ones run by the government.
The occasion is tagged as a "special" in Gonzaga's "Toni Talks" platform, a program that airs on her YouTube channel.
The interview will air on the newly launched ALLTV, a media network under former Senate President Manny Villar's media company AMBS. The date when the interview will air is yet to be announced.
This is not the first time the Chief Executive granted a Toni Talks interview. Gonzaga had interviewed Marcos in September last year before the filing of the certificates of candidacy (COCs) for the 2022 elections.
During their first interview, Marcos shared the "greatest lesson he learned from his father" and what it was like growing up in Malacañang.
Gonzaga is a known supporter of President Marcos. She headlined most of his campaign sorties and entertained the crowd by singing her versions of hit pop songs such as American singer Katy Perry's "Roar."
She also sang the National Anthem for Marcos' inauguration on June 30.
Gonzaga has recently signed a contract with ALLTV.
