Muntinlupa LGU impounds vehicles in road discipline drive

The Muntinlupa City government has impounded vehicles and issued violation tickets under its discipline campaign to clear roads.

On Sept. 8, its Task Force Discipline (TFD) focused on Lakefront, Barangay Sucat; Montillano Street in Alabang; and Bautista Street in Barangay Bayanan to clear roads of illegally parked vehicles.

A total of 18 motorcycles and two tricycles were impounded, 69 were given violation tickets by the Muntinlupa Motorcycle Unit, 11 were issued tickets by the Tricycle Regulatory Unit, and eight by the City Security Office.

In addition, stray dogs were brought to the Dog Pound Facility in Pacwood Site, Barangay Tunasan.

The TFD is composed of different departments of the city government that aims to clear roads, including the Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau (MTMB), City Security Office, City Veterinarian Office, City Engineering Office, Department of Disaster Resilience & Management, Public Information Office, Public Order and Safety Office, Social Services Department, and the Muntinlupa police.
