Blacklist International played the spoiler's role and denied Setsuna “Batute” Ignacio a winning debut as the M3 World Champion thumped Nexplay Evos, 2-0, to strengthen its hold of the top spot of the standings in the MPL Philippines Season 10 at the ICITE Auditorium in Libis, Quezon City on Friday, Sept. 9.

The Codebreakers played like a well-oiled machine as they leaned on their patented UBE strat and the early aggression to improve to a league-best 6-2 record for 17 points in the standing while sending NXPE reeling to its sixth straight loss for a 1-7 card and six points across the board.
Not surprised by the sudden change on NXPE lineup that saw Batute, Lance “LanceCy” Cunanan and Ken “Kzen” Pile making their debut, Blacklist showed urgency and went on to pressure the trio with a four-man invasion spearheaded by Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario’s Barats.
That starved NXPE’s core heroes from their resources while allowing Blacklist heroes to quickly get their hands on their core items. NXPE, behind Kzen’s Karina, tried to pick off the squishy heroes on Blacklist side but was repeatedly punished by the control from the Barats, Valentina and Faramis picks.
Blacklist then took the first point of the series with a 22-6 tally with Wise scoring a neat 1-0-10 KDA while OhmyV33nus shone anew with Faramis with a 5-1-14 line.
It was almost the same story in Game 2 as Blacklist stuck to its invasion to deny NXPE its access to its own resources. Unlike in the series opener, however, the Tigers managed to give Mariusz “Donut” Tan on the Wanwan enough space to farm, enabling NXPE to get back into the game.
A 17-minute Lord fight however slammed the door on the comeback hopes of Nexplay as Blacklist bursted down the Lord before securing multiple kills on NXPE.
The firepower from Wise’s jungle Natalia, Edward “Edward” Dapadap’s Dyrroth and Salic “Hadji” Imam’s Faramis proved to be too much for NXPE as they combined for 22 of the Blacklist’s 25 kills score.
Wise topped the bill with a 9-2-11 line while Edward and Hadji followed suit with 7-3-7 and 6-1-11 tallies respectively.
