Katrina Anne B. Balingit, head of the Provincial Public Affairs Office (PPAO), said the festival will feature exhibits on the great Bulakenyos in the three republics which depict the rich history of the country.

Also featured is the Bulacan International Airport which is deemed to be the solution to the long flooding problem of the province wherein dredging the heavily silted rivers and irrigation systems that contribute to flooding during rainy seasons is among the priorities of the San Miguel Corporation (SMC).

Balingit said that last Monday, Governor Daniel R. Fernando met with the SMC President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramon S. Ang (RSA) and discussed the ongoing development project in the province.

One of the topics they discussed was the accessibility of the soon-to-rise New Manila International Airport in Bulakan town and the proposed Bulacan Mega City in the towns of Balagtas, Bocaue, and Pandi.

Ang said two of the several proposed access roads leading to the Bulacan Airport, including the Marilao Interchange and Tabang Interchange in Guiuguinto, are under construction. As part of its corporate social responsibility, SMC is currently conducting massive dredging projects on the four major river systems in the province.

Balingit also said that Ang likewise committed to continuously identify and aid in the dredging of the other local rivers in the province in response to the request of Governor Fernando, in addition to the eight current dredging projects in Bulacan.

Related to this, the Bulacan governor thanked Ang for extending financial aid in updating the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan of Bulacan.
