Ai Ai delas Alas, proud frontliner

Comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas recently shared a photo of her hobnobbing with co-workers.

No, it wasn't taken at a film set.

She was snapped at a post-acute facility in the US.

Ai Ai is an activity director there.

She wrote as caption: "Balik work sa aking secret life na hindi na secret hehe .. with my co workers nurses of station 2 and station 1 and leila kasama ko sa activity... I am happy with my work .. the other side of me.. #postacutefacility #frontlinernadinako #blessings #certifiedactivitydirector To GOD be the glory amen."

Ai Ai first talked about her work there a few weeks ago.

She said then: "Parang napakaganda ng pakiramdam kasi yung remaining days ng mga residente sa facility na matatanda at mga senior, napapasaya ko sila."

“Dati, assistant pa lang ako pero nagpapaandar na ako. Nagbi-bingo para sa kanila. Kunwari, may mga topak ang residente, sinasayawan ko sila. Nag-iisip ako ng activities na puwedeng makapagpasaya sa kanila," she added.

According to Ai Ai, being a licensed healthcare professional is not degrading as some might say.

“Hindi siya degrading. Actually, it’s a noble work dahil ang ginagawa ko, pasayahin ang remaining days ng mga senior. Kumbaga, yung remaining days na malungkot sila, nagiging masaya sila,” she said.
