New Court of Appeals' building in CDO

Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo and Senior Associate Justice Marvic M.V.F. Leonen led the ceremony during the blessing of the new office building of the Court of Appeals (CA) in Cagayan de Oro City for Mindanao.

The new office is located at the Macasandig campus of the Xavier University Grade School.

The Supreme Court’s (SC) public information office (PIO) said that also present during the ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 7, were CA Presiding Justice Remedios A. Salazar-Fernando and CA Mindanao Executive Justice Oscar V. Badelles.

The CA, the second highest court of the country, has it main office in Manila that receives and resolves appealed cases from trial courts in Luzon. It also has an office in Cebu City for the Visayas.
