New 6-storey PAGASA office in QC, nearly halfway done – DPWH
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now fast-tracking the construction of the new six-storey building of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in Diliman, Quezon City.
DPEWH Sec. Manuel M. Bonoan said the projected completion of the building will be at the end of the year or in early 2023 and right now, it is 38 percent complete.

“This new PAG-ASA building will be able to provide a conducive office facility for our scientists, which they deserve considering their significant role in the protection of life and property,” said Bonoan.
The new building of PAGASA was built inside the Science Garden Complex in Diliman, Quezon City with funding of P269 million.
Construction works include the reinforced concrete foundation and building frame from the ground floor to the sixth floor with a roof deck, drywall, masonry walls, architectural and waterproofing works, curtain wall façade, mechanical works, plumbing, and sanitary works, drainage system, and electronic works.
When completed, the building will also have an auditorium and additional rooms to accommodate personnel and officials of the weather bureau.
