CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga -- One of the top fugitives in Mindoro Occidental and five most wanted persons in Central Luzon were arrested by CL cops during separate manhunt operations on Tuesday (Sept. 6) and Wednesday (Sept. 7).
Police Colonel Romell A Velasco, provincial director of Bataan Police Provincial Office, reported the arrest of Roy Sidoro, 37, by elements of Dinalupihan Police, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, 405th Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) and Police Intervention Unit (PIU) Bataan on Wednesday morning in Brgy. Tucop, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
Sidoro is number six most wanted person in Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan).
Sidoro has standing warrants of arrest for the crimes of murder and frustrated homicide (with Criminal Case Nos. R-9855 and R-9856) issued Sept 1, 2021 by Hon. Jose Jacinto, Jr., Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 45, San Jose, Occidental, Mindoro, with no bail recommended.
Five most wanted persons also fell in the hands of the authorities on Tuesday.
They were identified as Danny Ariola, 39, James Anthony Alcantara, 29, Jonathan Miranda, 26, Jonjie Dao, 30, and Marvin Vengala, 45.
Ariola is listed as one of the MWPs of Maria Aurora, in Aurora who was nabbed by virtue warrant of arrest for two counts of violation of Sec. 5(i) in relation to Sec. 3(b)(a) of R.A. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004).
Alcantara is one of top fugitives in Subic, Zambales who has pending case for violation of Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. (Anti-Child Abuse Law) (RA 7610).
Miranda is wanted in Mabalacat City, Pampanga for violation of Anti-Rape Law of 1997 (RA 8353) while Dao is wanted by law in Guagua, Pampanga for Violation of Sec. 5 & 11, Art. II of R.A. 9165, while Vengala is wanted in Malolos, Bulacan for the crime of attempted homicide (RPC ART 266).
Police Regional Office 3 acting regional director Brigadier General Cesar R. Pasiwen lauded the arrest of six wanted persons.
“The continuous intensified manhunt operations against wanted persons within the region is being carried out to account and arrest them all,” said Pasiwen.
