Over P148,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in Parañaque, Las Piñas buy-busts

Authorities arrested three persons and seized more than P148,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate buy-bust operations in Parañaque City and Las Piñas City, police said Tuesday, Sept. 6.

The suspects were identified as Joefel Ordonez, 35, of Parañaque City; Ejay Inocencio and Aldrive Balas, both 21 years old and residents Las Piñas City.

Members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with Paranaque Police Sub-Station 5 launched an entrapment operation, which led to the arrest of Ordoñez around 10:20 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5, at Manila Memorial Park in Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City.

The lawmen recovered from Ordoñez four grams of shabu worth P27,200.

Inocencio and Balas were nabbed by SDEU members when they yielded 1,037.2 grams of marijuana leaves worth P121,464 during a buy-bust operation at around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, on San Francisco St. in Barangay Almanza I, Las Piñas.

The suspects were detained at the custodial facility of Parañaque and Las Piñas Police Stations. They were charged with illegal possession of drugs.

The confiscated drugs were brought to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
