NBI civilian agent arrested for indiscriminate firing in Cagayan


SOLANA, Cagayan – A civilian agent of the National Bureau of Investigation NBI) was arrested by local police here allegedly for indiscriminate firing in barangay Gadu at around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept 5.

Police Regional Office 2 identified the NBI civilian agent as Julio Bayson, resident of Brgy. Gabu in this town, who allegedly fired his gun after a heated argument with Unel Daroni, 37, and Raul Macasaddud, 42, who are both employees of the Local Government of Solana.

Based on the report, a ‘concerned citizen’ reported the incident to the Solana police station which immediately responded and arrested the suspect right in his barangay.

The report said that the suspect introduced himself as an NBI agent prior to firing his gun.

The Solana police arrested the suspect and confiscated from him one unit of caliber .45 with serial number P1905911 with seven ammunition in its magazine. Police also recovered one empty shell of caliber .45.

The NBI civilian agent is now facing charges of Grave Threat in relation to Violation of RA 10591, according to Police Staff Sergeant Jeriemar Q Prieto, investigator on the case.
