AND THE WINNER IS! Pageant fans pick top Miss Universe crowning moment of all time

In the 70th year of Miss Universe, pageant fanatics voted for the coronation of Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach in 2015 as the top Miss Universe crowning moment of all time.

"We asked, you answered! Here are the top 5 crowning moments of all time chosen by YOU!" the caption wrote as the Miss Universe shared a collage of the top 5 videos of crowning moments of all time.

Critics believe that the coronation of the Filipino-Australian beauty queen is also the most controversial crowning moment after television host Steve Harvey made the wrong announcement of the winner.

During the telecast of the 64th Miss Universe Competition from Las Vegas, Nevada, on Dec. 20, 2015, Harvey announced that it was Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez who won the pageant, when in fact it was Pia.

That time, Pia's victory ended the drought for the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant after 42 years. She then became the third Filipino to win the prestigious crown.
