Laborer claims over P200,000 unpaid salary after 23 years
Patience, indeed, is virtue.
This was proven by Merlita Zalun when it took her 23 years before getting over P200,000 unpaid salary from her employer.
The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 2 (DOLE-RO2) awarded the check amounting to P204,532.10 to Zalun through the the Pay Request for Assistance (RFA).

The DOLE’s Single Entry Approach (SEnA) program has assisted Zalun to claim her uncollected salary and her separation pay from her former employer Ms. Ana Liza Carbonel.
Zalun filed a salary claim against her former employer after she resigned from work in 1999.
The DOLE’s SEnA program seeks to provide a speedy, impartial, inexpensive, and accessible settlement procedure of all labor issues and prevent employers and workers from ending up with unfruitful mitigation of claims.
