Two members of K-pop group Seventeen have recovered from Covid-19 in the US, their agency announced.
According to Pledis Entertainment, Seventeen’s Joshua and Hoshi were released from quarantine and will resume their activities.
“We would like to inform you that Seventeen members Joshua and Hoshi’s quarantine has concluded as of September 1 (ET),” the agency said.
It added, “Joshua and Hoshi have been administering self-treatment at home as per health authority guidelines and have not shown any extraordinary symptoms during self-quarantine.”
Seventeen are currently on their “Be The Sun” concert tour in the US and the two members will join the group at their show in Elmont, New York on Sept. 1 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park.
“They can resume their activities starting from September 1 (ET) and will begin their activities with the Belmont Park concert scheduled for the 1st. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the fans who have shown concerns for our artists’ health,” Pledis Entertainment said.
Last Aug. 28, the agency announced that Joshua and Hoshi tested positive for Covid-19.
The agency said, “Joshua and Hoshi experienced mild nasal congestion and cough on August 27 (ET) and preemptively took Covid-19 tests, and the test results returned as positive. They are currently under self-quarantine and treatment in Washington, D.C., USA. All other Seventeen members are not experiencing any symptoms.”
As a result, Joshua and Hoshi did not participate in Seventeen’s concerts in Washington, D.C. on Aug. 28 and Atlanta, Georgia on Aug. 30.
Seventeen members Dino and Mingyu previously tested positive for Covid-19 in the US and fully recovered.
