San Juan LGU to comply with SC TRO on NCAP

The City Government of San Juan vowed to abide by the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday, Aug. 30, on the implementation of the controversial No Contact Apprehension Program (NCAP).

“The Supreme Court has spoken regarding the No Contact Apprehension Program (NCAP). Although San Juan has not yet implemented NCAP, we respect their decision and will abide by it,” the city said in a statement on Tuesday.

In July, Mayor Francis Zamora announced that it would implement the NCAP starting August as part of its plan to boost traffic order and response capabilities in the city.

Other cities implementing the NCAP, including Quezon City, Manila, Paranaque, and Valenzuela, also assured that they would abide by the TRO on the NCAP issued by the SC.
