Marcos picks former PBA commissioner Noli Eala as PSC chairman


Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) commissioner Jose Emmanuel "Noli" Eala is the new chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

Malacañang confirmed this on Tuesday night, Aug. 30, the same day his appointment papers were signed by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

"We confirm the appointment of Mr. Noli Eala as chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission," Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said.

Eala served as a PBA commissioner from 2003 to 2007.

He will replace outgoing PSC Chairman William "Butch" Ramirez.
