Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the cash-rich Pasigarbo Sa Sugbo went on a two-year hiatus.

In announcing the return of the Pasigarbo dubbed as ‘Festival of Festivals,’ Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said the province is exiting the pandemic as Cebu is ‘back to normal.’ The Pasigarbo sa Sugbo (Showcase/Pride of Cebu) festival features street dancing and ritual showdown from 50 contingents representing each of the component towns and cities of Cebu Province.

The contingents, which have at least 100 dancers and crew, paraded from the Capitol to the Cebu City Sports Center where the ritual showdown was held.
