MB Daily News Update: It's now 'Pilipinas', not 'Filipinas'

To set the records straight, the Department of Education has directed all private and public schools to adopt a decision by the Commission on the Filipino Language to stop using the word “Filipinas” in referring to the country, its people, and culture. The right words would be “Pilipinas” and “Pilipino”.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the nation in celebrating National Heroes Day, and disclosed plans by his government to put up hospital for veterans in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Better fill up your tanks as the prices per liter of diesel and kerosene are set to go up by as much as P6 and that of gasoline by P1.40.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has alerted Pilipinos living or working in Tripoli to take shelter in safe places amid the growing political turmoil in the country.
