Herlene Budol to compete in int'l beauty pageant

Herlene Budol is not done with pageantry, despite earlier pronouncement.

Her manager, Wilbert Tolentino bared his aim to enter his ward in a newly established pageant, Miss Planet International.

"Attention to the people of this Planet! Get ready for a ride of your life. As the MISSION continuesâ€¦Because our Planet is uniquely beautiful," he wrote on Facebook, revealing he's also officially the pageant's national director.

According to Wilbert, it will be held in Kampala, Uganda from Nov. 6 to 20.

Herlene, meanwhile reacted, "Salamat mima sa pagmamahal at Supporta ibinibigay mo sa akin. forever grateful at thankful kami ni Ate Madam inutz."

According to Wilbert, Herlene's upcoming international journey is with the approval of Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI).

"This will make way for future Miss Planet Philippines beauties to explore and hoping to the win the first crown for this pageant for the country," Wilbert said. "Please support her journey until the end. Special thanks to my Co-National Director Ms. Shandy Montecarlo Lim."

On their official website, Miss Planet International is seeking the "perfect women" to represent their "mission to preserve our beautiful planet."

"A beautiful woman who truly believes and supports all causes related to conservation efforts being carried out by champions of the planet," they added.

"Our contestants will spread the message of hope for planetary conservation efforts through the support of corporate sponsors and governmental ministries throughout the world.
