15 homes razed in Taguig fire

A fire razed 15 homes in Taguig on Sunday, Aug. 28.

According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the blaze hit a residential area in Bagong Silang, Purok 6 in Barangay Tuktukan.

The fire started from the home of Servando Aguinaldo and spread to adjacent houses. The first alarm was raised at 10:23 a.m. The fire was put under control at 10:54 a.m. and was put out at 11:07 a.m.

No one was injured in the fire which damaged P300,000 worth of properties and affected 22 families or 52 individuals.

Seven fire trucks from the Bureau of Fire Protection and 12 from volunteer groups and local government units responded to the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
