The Social Security System (SSS) assured the public that all the data records of its members were not affected in the fire that hit its main building on Sunday, Aug. 28.
In a statement, the management also said there will also be no interruption in its delivery services in all its branches as well as via online thru My.SSS, SSS Mobile App, and uSSSap Tayo portals. All payments will be accepted and posted accordingly, it added.
The SSS management also thanked the Bureau of Fire Protection Quezon City Station 4 for its quick response to the fire that hit its main office early Sunday.
The Bureau of Fire Protection -National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) said the fire started at the main building’s UPS room at 1:43 a.m.. It was raised to first alarm at around 2:05 a.m..
“The building’s fire suppressant system effectively contained the spread to other areas. By 3:35 a.m., the firefighters officially declared the fire under control,” the SSS said.
“The SSS management wants to thank the quick response of the Bureau of Fire Protection Quezon City Station 4,” it added.
