Onic keeps rolling; RSG, ECHO pick up wins

In a battle of streaking teams, Onic Philippines continued to roll as it took down Omega Esports with a 2-1 victory while RSG Philippines and ECHO went triumphant in the MPL Philippines Season 10 on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the ICITE Auditorium in Libis, Quezon City.

France “SUPER FRINCE” Ramirez came up huge in the series-clinching Game 3 as Onic seized a solo lead in the standings with a 5-1 record.

The Hedgehogs took control of the early game as they took a 6-2 kill score and 7k gold advantage which they never relinquished despite the comeback efforts of the former MSC champions.

SUPER FRINCE finished with a 1-0-8 KDA as Onic shrugged off an opening game hiccup to pull off the reverse sweep.

Meanwhile, RSG PH finally found its winning form in the return of its MSC 2022 winning line up to score a pulsating 2-1 victory over Bren Esports.

RSG initially played Clarense “Kousei” Camillo in the first two games of the series but head coach Bryan “Panda” Lim opted to go for the MSC MVP Eman “Emann” Sangco in Game 3 to seal their second win of the season.

With the MSC lineup in two, RSG wreaked havoc throughout the map and engaged Bren Esports to multiple clashes that led to a whopping 26 kill score – 16 of which coming from the midlane combination of Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto and Arvie “Aqua” Calderon.

Not to be left out were ECHO who also completed a reverse sweep against TNC Pro Team, 2-1.

After dropping the series opener on a backdoor play from Mark “Kramm” Rustana. Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz showed the veteran presence and led the way for ECHO in the two victories – on his Atlas pick in the second game and Tank Chou in the series clincher.

His two crucial pick-offs on Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille’s Popol and Kupa in Game 2 and Irithel and Game 3 sealed the deal for the powerhouse squad.
