Newly designated Pasay City police chief Col. Byron Tagle Tabernilla emphasized the importance of cooperation, information and support or CIS guidelines in the police force to better serve and protect the people.
Tabernilla formally assumed his post as the city police chief on Aug. 26, replacing Col. Cesar Paday-os who was transferred at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
The new chief of Pasay City police stressed that cooperation is needed to achieve the goals of MKK=K Framework (Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran) and the KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) program of the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, as well as the SAFE project of the NCRPO director.
He explained that communication and information dissemination are crucial in establishing good relationship and gaining the cooperation and support of the community to attain peace and order in Pasay City.
Tabernilla also introduced the "Pulis Pasay Truly C.A.R.E. to Pasayeños" that has to be observed by the city police officers.
The CARE program stands for C for conspicuous and Caring, A for affable to all; R for respected and role model to the community, and E- for exceptional public servants.
Tabernilla said with the CARE program, he envisioned the police under his supervision to be exceptional in delivering public service and keeping peace and order in the city.
The turnover ceremony for Pasay City police leadership was held at the Pasay City Hall led by Southern Police District (SPD) director Col. Kirby John Brion Kraft and Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano.
Rubiano thanked Paday-os for keeping the city safe.
Paday-os was also awarded with Medalya ng Kasanayan for his good performance during his tour of duty as the city police chief. He assured Tabernilla that he will continue to support to the city police force.
