Rizal Province Governor Nina Ynares warned the public against an email account that uses her name to send suspicious messages.

"Kamakailan ay may IMPOSTOR na nanggaya sa atin na ginagamit ang ating pangalan ngunit kung titingnan ang sender ay iba ang email address na ginamit (Recently there was an IMPOSTOR using our name but if you look at the sender the email address used is different),” she said in a Facebook post on Aug. 23.
“Nais ko lang po paalalahanan ang lahat pati ang iba't-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno na mag-iingat sa mga EMAIL MESSAGES mula sa FAKE EMAIL ADDRESSES na maaari po nating matanggap na nagpapanggap na sila ay AKO o sila daw ay galing sa ating Pamahalaang Lalawigan (I just want to remind everyone including various government agencies to be careful with email messages from fake email addresses that they may receive pretending to be me or that they are from our provincial government),” she said.
Those who will receive suspicious messages from an e-mail, a text message, or from messenger, may verify it at the Rizal Province (Official) page, Ynares said.
“Just send a screenshot of the suspicious mail or message and we will immediately verify it,” she said.
Ynares also urged the public to refrain from clicking links they will receive from unknown sources.
