Indian shot dead in Navotas City

An Indian was gunned down by two unidentified men in Barangay NBBN, Navotas City on Thursday, Aug. 25.

The Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) identified the victim as Mandeep Dhaliwal Singh, 33, from Arguelles, Quezon City.

Police said that the victim was riding his black motorcycle along the southbound lane of Road 10 in Brgy. NBBN at around 11:20 a.m. when he was attacked.

Col. Dexter Ollaging, NCPS chief, said that the victim, upon reaching a stop light, was approached and shot thrice in the back by one of the suspects.

Citing the statement of a 17-year-old boy who witnessed the incident, police said the gunman, clad in a white t-shirt and “maong” or denim pants, fled towards Lapu-lapu Avenue in Navotas City on board a red and white motorcycle.

His cohort, wearing a black jacket and helmet, drove a black motorcycle towards Manila.

NCPS operatives are conducting dragnet operations to identify and locate the suspects.
