Police arrested three persons for illegal drugs in two operations in Taguig on Aug. 24.
In a buy-bust operation conducted on MLQ Street in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig, the Taguig Police’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested suspect Lorna Macatuggal, 45.
Recovered during the operation were five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing about six grams with a value of P40,800, and P200 buy-bust money.
In an “Oplan Galugad” conducted by Taguig Police Substation 4 personnel on Mabini Street in Barangay Tuktukan, authorities saw two suspects in possession of suspected shabu.
The arrested individuals were identified as Aldwin Joan De Dios, 54, and Angelito Dela Cruz, 35.
Confiscated from them were six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 6.5 grams with a value of P44,240.
The illegal drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for chemical analysis while the suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Taguig Police.
SPD acting director Col. Kirby John Kraft stressed that the successful operations were mainly due to the aggressive campaign against illegal drugs initiated by the police.
