Landslides shut main roads in Northern Luzon-DPWH

Tropical storm "Florita" has triggered landslides that rendered several major roads connecting several towns in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and in the Cagayan Valley region impassable.

In a 6 a.m. Road Advisory of the Department of Public Works and Highways - Bureau of Maintenance (DPWH BM), two national roads in CAR are still impassable namely: Claveria-Calanasan-Kabugao Road, K0717+500- K0717+570 section in Namaltugan, Calanasan, Apayao, due to road cut and soil collapse; and the Mt. Province - Ilocos Sur via Tue, Beto Section in Tadian, Mt. Province, due to rock collapse.
