DAGUPAN CITY – A 47-year-old single parent reported missing by his relatives Monday, Aug. 22, was found floating on the Pantal River in Barangay Pantal here Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Local police identified the victim as James Dioquino, an auto painter.
Dioquino was reported missing by his family in Nalsian, Calasiao, Pangasinan.
Police said officials of Barangay Pantal received a report at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday that the body of a man was floating on the Pantal River.
Barangay officials coordinated with the police here and the Calasiao Police Station as there was a flash alarm about a missing person dated Aug. 22.
The older sister of the victim, Teresita Dioquino Macanlalay, 59, positively identified the body as that of brother James.
Relatives told police that they observed that he was depressed due to financial concerns.
They said that he went fishing on a river in Calasiao but failed to return home Monday.
James had been a single parent for 11 years according to relatives.
Relatives said he most often worried about the needs of his three children.
Dr. Benjamin Marcial Bautista of the Dagupan City Health Office conducted an initial medico-legal examination on the victim prior to post-mortem examination.
James’ remains were taken to a funeral parlor on Arellano St., Barangay Pantal here. His family is asking for financial help.
