MB Daily News Update: ‘Florita’ barrels through Northern Luzon

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. suspended classes and work in government offices at around mid-day due to severe tropical storm Florita.

And just weeks after a magnitude-7 earthquake struck the area, residents of Cagayan and Isabela find themselves staying in evacuation sites anew to flee the ravages brought about by “Florita”.

Meanwhile, in a Cabinet meeting, the President discussed priority projects for migrant workers.

Speaker Martin Romualdez also vowed to spearhead the passage of the proposed P5.268-trillion national budget for 2023 by Oct. 1, 2022.

These are the major stories this Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 23, 2022.
