The Parañaque city government turned over to six barangays in the city brand new dump trucks to help maintain cleanliness in the communities and improve the delivery of government services on Monday, Aug. 22.
The trucks were procured during the term of former mayor and now 1st District Rep. Edwin L. Olivarez but were delivered by the supplier only recently.
“This is part of our ongoing commitment to the people of Parañaque, and we are thankful to the city government under Mayor Eric Olivarez for continuing our programs for the benefit of our barangays and communities,” Rep. Olivarez said during the turnover ceremonies.
Three of the barangays that received the new trucks are from District 1 -- Don Galo, Tambo, and Sto. Niño, while three are from District 2 -- Sun Valley, Merville, and Don Bosco.
Present during the turnover ceremonies were Rep. Olivarez and Mayor Olivarez and officials of the recipient barangays.
Olivarez said the other barangays will receive either an ambulance or fire truck depending on their needs.
