'Bida Star Versus' in search of new young talents

Now on its fifth season, ABS-CBN's online talent search "Bida Star" is set to find young artists nationwide. 

What started as a simple talent search from KUMU, "Bida Star" has created talented individuals who wanted to become artists. 

In this new season, now called "Bida Star Versus," new challenges and faces will return to the online talent search. Past season hosts Karina Bautista and Anji Salvacion are excited to share the activities for the upcoming online talent show. 

"Actually dito sa bida star, naguupgrade talaga. Dati we started hosting from the KUMU platform, ngayon kasama na lahat ng social media platform," said Karina. 

The former PBB housemate also shared that "Bida Star Versus" will feature a live callback from 10 boys and girls that will compete in different challenges such as acting, singing, dancing, and even impersonation.   

Aside from Karina and Anji, former PBB housemate Benedix Ramos will also be joining as a first-time host on the show. 

The "Love in 40 Days" actor shared that he is looking forward to seeing the new set of artists begin their journey on "Bida Star Versus." 

"May kanya-kanya naman po tayong strengths, and yun yung kailangan nila mafigure out sa journey nila dito sa 'Bida Star Versus,' " Benedix mentioned. 

From becoming PBB housemates to well-known personalities, Karina, Anji, and Benedix shared some advice to those individuals who have dreams of becoming an artist. 

"Ang mapapayo ko lang sa inyo ay claim it na, after being brave and doing the auditions, embody it na. You have to embody that you're a winner, think like a winner, and feel like a winner," Karina mentioned. 

To join this year's "Bida Star Versus," auditionees are required to make a 12-minute video introducing themselves and their talent in acting. Auditionees may upload their video on TikTok, Facebook, and KUMU with #BidaStarVersus.
