The Pasay City government conducted free developmental screening for children at the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) outpatient department on Friday (August 19).
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the screening is being done to determine the development of a child.
She said parents must be aware of the importance of determining how a child attitude is developing.
The mayor explained that health professionals may determine the child development through a brief test given to parents about the child.
Rubiano said it is very important for parents to see health professionals if their child exhibits difficulty in language, movement, thinking behaviour, and in expressing emotions.
She said to lighten the mood of the children brought to the PCGH for developmental screening, they were given simple snacks and toys.
