SAB thanks longtime friends in new single 'Happy You Stayed'

Singer-songwriter SAB conveys gratitude to friends in the heartfelt and wholesome indie-pop single “Happy You Stayed.”

The latest Tarsier Records release was written in the summer of 2021 while SAB was exploring college life as a freshman. She realized then how different it was to not have the friends she grew up with be there with her.

“I ended up writing ‘Happy You Stayed’ for my best friends, basically saying everything I wanted to say to them. It was my way of saying that even if we’re having different experiences, I’m happy that they stayed and I’m really proud of everything they’re doing,” she said.

One of the talented young artists in the ABS-CBN Music roster, SAB brings her fresh perspective in her music storytelling. She considers songwriting an avenue for self-expression, focusing on themes about life, coming of age, and her own personal experiences.

Before “Happy You Stayed,” SAB released the breezy track “I’d Like To” also under Tarsier Records. She released the album “SHE@Twenty Live” last June from her birthday concert held this year. The talented musician is also part of Star Magic’s “Beyond The Stars” US tour this month.
