Michael “MIkkayla Mendez” Alamillo, president of the Mister Asia Pacific Organization, has announced that the Mister Asia Pacific Philippines is set to be launched this year.
“We’re looking for someone who is masculine, has good moral character, and can commit himself to community service full-time,” said Alamillo, during a dinner with select members of pageant press at Araneta Center in Quezon City recently.
Alamillo said the winner of the national search will represent the Philippines at the Mister Asia Pacific International contest in 2023.
More details will be revealed about the upcoming male pageant soon.
Alamillo also asserted her intellectual property ownership of the Mister Asia Pacific title. The full statement:
“Mister Asia Pacific Organization headed by Michael Alamillo would like to assert its intellectual property ownership of the Mister Asia Pacific title.
“Using the title including associative and derivative words is a violation of our intellectual property.
“This notice serves as a warning or a reminder that we will bring to court anyone who is using/misusing our intellectual property. Anyone associating with people or organization who misrepresents Mister Asia Pacific will also be dealt legally.
“Mister Asia Pacific Philippine search will be launched this year while the international pageant will be launched next year.”
