The Philippine National Police (PNP) awarded the Muntinlupa Police as the Best City Police Station in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Major Gen. Felipe Natividad, director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), signed the plaque of recognition given to the Muntinlupa City Police Station during the 121st Police Service Anniversary held on Aug. 9.
The Muntinlupa Police, headed by Col. Angel Garcillano, was also recognized during the flag-raising ceremony at the Muntinlupa City hall quadrangle on Aug. 15.
During the review period from July 2021 to April 2022, the Muntinlupa Police Station ranked No. 1 after combining all the criteria: number of anti-illegal drug operations, number of most wanted persons arrested, highest crime resolution and efficiency, outstanding community affairs activities, less number of registered crime (persons and property) incidents, active local government unit and stakeholders support, and Covid-19 response.
“We are honored but humbled by this award. Let it be a shining motivation for us to strive more and serve na may Malasakit, para sa Kaayusan, Kapayaan at Kaunlaran ng Muntinlupa City (Let it be a shining motivation for us to strive more and serve with Compassion, for the Order, Peace and Development of Muntinlupa City),” said Garcillano.
Also recognized during the PNP anniversary celebration were Staff Sgt. Reynold Sajulga Aguirre as Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operations, Cpl. Francis Paulo Sumayod as Silver Medal Awardee, and Police Executive Master Sgt. Andrew Gil Garcia as Bronze Medal Awardee.
"We are definitely proud of our city police force for their excellent performance. More so we are grateful for the dedication of our policemen and women to serve all Muntinlupeños," said Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon.
