Las Piñas declared 'Safe City' in Metro Manila

Las Piñas was declared the ‘Safe City’ in Metro Manila during the 121st Police Service Anniversary held on Aug. 9 at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Hinirang Hall in Taguig City.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar congratulated the local police under the supervision of Col. Jaime Santos for making Las Piñas a safe city.

Aguilar said the award was based on the police performance that made Las Pinas as the city with least crime volume.

She said the police also recorded the highest number of arrested suspects.

The city police chief said in a text message that the police force made the city a safe place in Metro Manila through police visibility and check points, and coordination of the barangay officials.
