241Cagayan Valley cops resume internal security training


CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City – Two-hundred forty-one policemen have resumed their Basic Internal Security Operation Course (BISOC) training here and were welcomed by Police Lt. Col. Nelson Vallejo, officer-in-charge, Regional Special Training Unit 2.

BISOC is a specialized training for policemen with the aim of shaping themselves for internal security operations which include land navigation, map reading, marksmanship, rope course, field training exercise, and survival.

Vallejo encouraged the trainees to seriously take their training so that they can use it for those who need their services especially in areas with insurgency.

BISOC training is expected to end on September 24, according to the program of activities.

BISOC training commenced last February 8 for the 241 trainees as part of the specialized training of the PNP.

This was temporarily suspended after they were deployed for election duties in Region 2.
