'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano' trends as it ends

After seven years, "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" finally ended last night, Aug. 12.

The show immediately trended on Twitter.

Some paid homage to lead star Coco Martin as with his character on the show, Cardo Dalisay.

Others remembered Lola Flora, the character played by the late Susan Roces, who passed away last May.

Many of the scenes in the last episode triggered fans.

These include that of Cardo breaking down learning about the death of Lola Flora.

The production staff actually used Susan's real birth and death dates on Lola Flora’s tombstone.

Meanwhile, Julia Montes, who played Mara in the show, also trended on social media.

On her social media account, Julia paid tribute to his rumored boyfriend.

"Sa 7 taon na itinakbo ng Probinsyano … isa at Ikaw ang napakalaking parte ng Success ng buong show…," she said.

Congratulations aming Cardo Dalisay."

Coco, on the other hand, flooded his Instagram account with photos taken during the show's last shooting days, as well as, the finale watch party as attended by the show's cast and production team.

He thanked everyone who became part of the show.

Kaya thank you so much and God bless you all. At sana magkatrabaho ulit tayo. I love you!," he said.
