Cavite's free WiFi rolls out in 8 towns, cities

CAVITE – Caviteños in eight cities and towns can now access the provincial government's free WiFi project.

In a Facebook post on August 10, LINKod Kabitenyo announced that the service is now available in the cities of Bacoor, Dasmariñas, General Trias, Imus, and Trece Martires as well as in the towns of Amadeo, Indang, and Tanza.

Users must register in order to connect to the WiFi with hotspots in public schools, barangay halls, covered courts, and other public places.

To ensure that the service is maximized and is evenly distributed to the public, students can get four hours of free WiFi connection, while teachers, frontliners, government employees, and private employees can connect for eight hours.

The general public can also use the public WiFi system for one hour.

Gaming and streaming sites and apps as well as those offering indecent content cannot be accessed through LINKod Kabitenyo.
